 Financial ReadinessSuccessful Money Management
This course explains the importance of effective financial management to include setting short and long range financial goals and learning how to stick to a budget to reach those goals.  Participants will gain a better understanding of their personal spending habits and how to design their own plan for success.

Credit & Debt ManagementThis course discusses the advantages and disadvantages of using credit.  How to choose and apply for credit cards and installment loans and how to responsibly manage these accounts will be discussed.  This class also teaches how to establish a credit record, protect your credit history and how to correct credit report mistakes.

First Term Soldiers’ Financial Training Upon completion of this training for first term Soldiers will be able to recognize the positive effects of handling their personal finances correctly and recognize the effects of poor financial management.  They will be familiar with the signs of serious financial trouble and be knowledgeable of the steps they need to take to gain control of their finances.  They will be able to identify the primary information provided in the military pay statement (LES).

Consumer Rights and ObligationsThis class focuses on consumer rights, obligations and scams perpetrated to defraud consumers.  This class also gives an overview of what the Federal Trade Commission does and does not protect (while in CONUS), and discusses warranties for products purchased and how to go about filing a complaint.
